WEEK 8 - NZ FLAG REFERENDUM - EASTER HUNT

THE NZ FLAG REFERENDUM

This week it was Belfast School's Flag Referendum.

The Seniors came to our class to explain that on Tuesday the 22nd March we were able to vote for the flag that we liked the best.  At 2pm on Tuesday Room 6 walked to Room 20 to place our votes.  The Seniors were the official people and we had to go in 6 at a time.  We were given a piece of paper and then went to a booth where another Senior person told us to vote by putting a tick by the flag we liked the best.  Then we put our vote into a big red Post Box.  After we voted we relaxed on the bean bags in Room 20.

We had our own class vote and the results were:  6 voted for the current flag and 19 for the Silver Fern flag.

Overall the school favoured the Silver Fern flag.

Daniel v interesting wall made during wet day lunchtime play.

Our Junior Easter hunt.
Children had to find a colour clue for the correct colour to colour in Easter Bunny.
We managed to miss the rain.

The reward was an Easter Egg. :)
HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAYS
