TERM 1 - WEEK 6

This week:

KEEPING OURSELVES SAFE

Constable Debbie came to visit us and talk to us about Keeping Ourselves Safe.
In our first session Room 6 talked about our full names, addresses, what to do if we are lost.
In our second session Room 6 talked about touches we like, don't like and confusing touches.
What great questions and answers from Room 6 and lovely listening to Constable Debbie.

SWIMMING DEMO
WOW what a wonderful day the Juniors and New Entrants had in the swimming demo on Friday afternoon.

There were:
SAFE ENTRIES
LONG LEGS
STREAMLINE BODIES for kicking without the board and with the board
KICK BOARD
KICKING LEGS
WALKING ACROSS THE POOL
NOODLE SWIMMERS
NOODLE HORSES
WALKERS

Earlier in the week the Juniors enjoyed a session with Leanne from Swimming NZ about safe swimming with life jackets.
What amazing resilience to all those children who jumped into the deep end and on a 'chilly' day.  EXCELLENT perseverance.

YOUR ARE SWIMMING STARS!!!
